Closet sliding doors, ordered from the job site

Closet sliding doors are one of the most common openings on a renovation punch list, and one of the slowest to close out the old way: measure, call around, wait for a callback, drive to a counter, wait again. Buildr moves that whole loop onto the phone you already have in your pocket on site.

Order the size you actually measured

Open Buildr and start a new order. The form has four choices up front: Material, Panels, Edge style, and Edge colour. Pick each one the way the opening calls for it, whether that is a plain 2-panel closet run or a wider multi-panel opening. Then enter Width and Height in inches, the way the tape reads. A row of fraction chips sits under the fields: 1/8, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 5/8, 3/4, 7/8, so an opening like 48 1/2 by 80 goes in exactly as measured, with no rounding up or down to the nearest whole inch.

See the price the moment the size is in

As soon as the material, panels, edge style, edge colour and size are entered, the price shows on the same screen, before you pay anything. There is no quote request and no waiting on a callback for a number. That price is the price: nothing changes between what shows on the phone and what gets charged, other than the tax added at checkout the way any retail order works. Once it looks right, pay by card right there. No trade-account paperwork, no walk-in trip, no phone tag with anyone.

Order sliding doors right from the job site. The price is the price. Pick it up when it's ready.

Pick it up when the app says it's ready

Once the order is placed, the app tracks it the same way it tracked the build: no separate phone call to check status. A pickup date is stated on the order, and the app lets you know when it's ready to collect. Bring the order number when you go. That's the only paperwork involved.

For a closet opening on a job that's already running tight, that's the whole difference: instead of losing an afternoon to a counter visit, the size gets ordered from wherever the tape measure was. Mirror sliding doors work through the same four choices and the same size entry, so a mirror closet run is no slower to order than a plain panel one.

Buildr works the same way for sliding doors beyond closets too: the size entry and price flow are covered step by step here, and the app itself is a download away when you're ready to start an order. Two more looks at ordering this way: pricing a sliding door in Toronto and getting one fast in the GTA.
